Hoang Su Phi Rice Terraces
Hoang Su Phi is a rural district of Ha Giang province in the northeastern region of Vietnam. While Dong Van Karst Geo-park makes Ha Giang a bigger name for visitors from far and wide by the grey limestone mountains, Hoang Su Phi offers visitors a different taste with stunning rice terraces. The highlights and must-see places for the terraces are near and along the main road between Hoang Su Phi and Xin Man, where those terraces are classified as a National Heritage by the Vietnamese Government.
To landscape photographers, Hoang Su Phi is a great choice. Known for the deep valleys and unique edaphological character, Hoang Su Phi not only brings good harvests for locals but also offers a splendid attraction for tourists.
In early autumn, photographers from around the country and foreigners rush there to take snapshots of ravishing moments when the rice fields start being ripe and turning yellow. Along with the terraced fields, Hoang Su Phi is home to 12 ethnic peoples. Mixed culture is highlighted by markets where Tay, Nung, H’Mong and Dao people know how to make their own cultures stand out.
Thus, Hoang Su Phi is an ideal destination for hiking tours, trekking tours and photography tours with homestay experience at local houses of the hill tribes.
It is not an exaggeration to say that Hoang Su Phi is a paradise on earth that you will never forget after you go there.
